Continuing an ongoing series of self-directed work - the Stabby Women are an enigmatic tribe of female warriors. This deluxe print depicts a masked character in the woods, decorated in homemade tattoos and ready for combat; Perhaps these symbols are a clue to the Stabby Women's heritage and belief system? Or perhaps their origin will remain a mystery a while longer? Who knows...
Kid Acne is a UK based artist, illustrator, printmaker and MC. Born in Malawi and raised in England, he spent his formative years writing graffiti, self-publishing fanzines and making experimental hip-hop - designing and printing the record sleeves by hand. A stalwart of the international Street Art movement, Kid Acne has painted large-scale murals and exhibited extensively throughout the world over the past two decades. Rendered in a distinct, illustrative style, his work can be seen in wheat-pastes and in gallery shows from New York to Azerbaijan. And he still has acne.
