Florence Ema Blanchard is a French painter, muralist and screen-printer based in Sheffield. During her studies at New York University she collaborated with a group of Brooklyn-based Japanese dancers, which marked the beginning of a lifelong interest for Japanese aesthetics and culture. For ‪#‎SOMETHINGMADEDIFFERENT‬ she prepared a series of new paintings inspired by her last visit to Japan in Betsukai (別海) Hokkaido.
